Amenorrhea: The Causes and Treatments
Amenorrhea is a catamenial disorder that causes one to not have a catamenial cycle anymore or stop completely. It is a occupation that affects women of all ages but more after they go thru menopause. The ii types of amenia are primary and secondary. Both cause the worry-some assiduity and symptoms and affect 2-5% of childbearing women (Frey et al, catamenial disorders). Pregnancies, menopause, injury, and never going thru pubescence will cause amenia.
Women usually menstruate every 28days (Frey et al, Menstrual disorders). First is the primary amenorrhea. It affects women who have never started to have a cycle, usually by the age of 16. They may have a light flow if any and it is called oligomenorrhea. It can be triggered by someone being underweight or exercising to a fault much, Turners syndrome, a birth defect related to the reproductive system, or ovarian problems (Frey et al, Menstrual disorders). In a teenage lady friend it would be significant if she was a cheerleader.



According to the NHS (National Health Service), UK, it is considered as abnormal of the girl has not started sexual sensual growing and menstruation by the time she is 14 years old, or if periods started by 16 but her normal sexual physical development hasnt (What is Amenorrhea).
A pap testing is given to regulate what the outcome is and whats causing the situation. I know this because my menstrual stopped and had to get a sonogram and pap test done. My doctor said he was looking for fibroids and other abnormalities that may cause heavy bleeding or cramps. For primary amenorrhea with no underlying problem, no treatment is necessary, and a wait-and-see progression is often adopted. If women have genetic or hormonal abnormalities, amenorrhea is often treated with oral contraceptives that contain combinations of estrogen and progestin (Frey et al, Menstrual Disorders).
