It is the one thing that can connect childbirth women together throughout all history. I have intentional that there are aspects of childbirth that have greatly changed and aspects that non changed since the beginning of homosapiens. Technological advances have greatly changed the surroundings of women large(p) birth and has decreased infant and birth mother mortality, all the same the actual act of childbirth has not changed that much throughout history. Picture life in Kajiado, Kenya. You live in a grass hut with no electricity and running water. The nearest medical help is twelve miles away...and your transportation is your own twain feet, or a bicycle if you are lucky. You are near thirty-six weeks gestation and are afraid for your life and your fuck ups. There is a midwife available but she overly has far to come to reach you. The midwife has no music to help with pain, just her forty or more geezerhood of experience. How do you cope? You do what women throughout the ages have through because you are offered no other choice.

You pray and counter upon the talent it takes to be a woman, and you go through the excruciating tire out of love called childbirth. Now, picture a woman today in the United States about to give birth. When her labor contractions start her pardner will drive her quickly to the hospital or call upon an ambulance. The woman will most likely have some options as to how the birth process will go. She will be offered many pain saving drugs depending on how far on the birth process is. The woman and baby will be strapped to electronic devices that will monitor mother and babys distribute during the whole process.
