The Berlin Conference in 1884 was an important event in the compound history of sub-Saharan Africa. Here the scrambling of Africa was officiated peacefully on and a map of Africa was drawn on paper with different compound powers like Britain, France, Germany etc making their claims on the colonies they controlled.
