Under the Influence

Strong. Passionate. Resilient. Wise. These are some of the words I would use to nominate my dad. I am inspired to be just analogous him. This is the man that left medical school in Nigeria and began to enlist a nursing career in the States to ply for his family. He applied for a visa knowing that the chances of acquiring one were very slim. When he eventually made it to America he began belonging in convenience stores until the rest of us could come over. Once we came to America he continued to work to sustain a family of five and go to school at the same time. There was actually a time when he was working in Wal-Mart, while working there he was studying to be a certified nursing protagonist and was told that all he would ever be good at doing is greeting people at the door. Now he is a Registered Nurse that is attending NYU for his Masters degree. I see a man who isnt afraid to beat the odds.



Just same him I put one over gone ahead to beat some odds. In being more like him I have taken more advanced placement classes than I thought process I could take. I tried harder than I thought was affirmable for me. This wouldnt have been the case if I wasnt strong, resilient and passionate just about what I do.
