He hightail ited at a newspaper let out when he was 16 age old. One day he dropped everything and he got fired. His father, Henry Hershey was humiliated and put on his hat and went to the newspaper shop to count if he could get his job back. Milton next went to work at Royers Ice Cream Shop and Garden because his sire thought he should keep an eye on a trade. He versed how to make edulcorate and ice rink cream. He first went to work scraping ice off the freezer. He asked if he could learn how to make candy and ice cream. One shadow he was at the opera house across the street from the ice cream parlor with his friends. Suddenly, it smelled like burnt peanut brittle. He ran out and turned the machine off. The garden was full of prohibitionist peanut shells that looked like dry leaves. The owner of the shop was not upset unlike the owner of the printing shop.
When Milton was 20, his mother and aunt encouraged him to go into business for himself. He rented a dinky shop and began to work. His mother and aunt helped him start a candy shop. It did not last long and it failed.
He next seek his sight and went to Philadelphia. But he failed there, too. His father Henry Hershey was a risk taker. He was in Colorado looking for gold. He mailed Milton letters about trying his luck with him. He got a job at a candy shop and learned to make caramels with fresh milk. This way the caramel could retard fresh and chewy for months.
