Here is what I had said for the Topamax and Marys headache
7. The Topamax is do the acid-base disturbance and her respiratory system is attempting to compensate through hyperventilation to light H+ and bring her pH up. The H+ however is increase because the Topamax is causing the nephritic carboniferous anhydrase to redirect HCO3- out of the consistence and retain H+.
8. B: Ingestion of an acidifying drug in this case is to blame. With the introduction of Topamax to Marys system, the Topamax begins to inhibit her renal carboniferous anhydrase causing metabolic acidosis.
9. B: IV of HCO3- in isotonic solution is the best option and my recommendation. Even with the carbonic anhydrase being inhibited and causing metabolic acidosis, direct stab into the blood allows the HCO3- to bypass renal carbonic anhydrase process temporarily and combine with H+ until the Topamax tapers off and her live becomes normal.
A: respiration into a paper bag is going to increase carbonic acid gas levels and cause respiratory acidosis diminish pH further.
C: guardianship her breath is the same A above.
Causing respiratory acidosis and decreasing pH further
D: The addition of Ammonia is dangerous and in spite of being a basic solution would not do much to help Mary. The human personify will quick reject ammonia by converting it to urea and discharging it.
10. The increased breathing during a hike caused Mary to begin hyperventilation as the body tried to compensate for the decrease in pH. The inhibited carbonic anhydrase was processing out HCO3- and leaving H+ while her respiratory system was trying to increase pH by electric discharge CO2. The inhibited carbonic anhydrase was to blame by not allowing HCO3- and H+ to combine. If you want to get a full essay, order it on our website: Ordercustompaper.com

Reductions in levels of stratospheric ozone means increases in setting levels of UV-B radiation causing significant negative effects on human and other organisms health, terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, and many materials [Government of southernmost Australia, 2004; UNEP, 1998]. This has environmental, social and economic implications. Thus the importance of monitoring and protect the ozone layer is of great significance.
In the 1920s a chemical-techno-industrial change was heralded by the use of certain compounds containing chlorine and bromine. This spurred the learning of more such compounds for use in a shape of applicable products, such as domestic and commercial refrigerators, aerosols and blaze extinguishers. These compounds proved invaluable to industry due to their chemical inertness, high volatility [Molina and Rowland, 1974] and low toxicity in the troposphere. But they were a blessing in disguise.
By the 1970s an interest develop into the role that these compounds may play in the Earths atmosphere. In 1974 Molina and Rowland [1974] hypothesised the possibilities of CFCs, explicitly CFC-11 (CFCl3) and CFC-12 (CF2Cl2), having a destructive effect on stratospheric ozone. Other compounds containing chlorine were not mentioned due to unknowns and large uncertainties in their life times during that time. Approximately a decade later(prenominal) Farman et al [1985] at the British Antarctic Survey ascertained exponential rates of ozone loss over the Antarctic during its jump off time, which was further concreted a year later by Solomon et al [1986]. Guanxi In Jeopardy
Let me start this baptistry study with a excerpt from the case: »The conflicting impression is that the Chinese act as if they are in the drivers seat.« After care wide-cuty reading the case of the failed joint venture negotiations amid Electrowide and Motosuzhou, it seems obvious that in identify to succeed in a global economy, Electrowide would need to settle down production in Asia the fastest growing economy. So, Chinese companies and so are »in the drivers seat«, meaning that the foreign companies, which neediness to enter the Chinese market, nurse to adapt to their culture in order to succeed there. Not only have to foreign companies try to adapt to the Chinese culture, but they also have to fully understand it.
This is obviously not the case with the Electrowides climb to the joint venture negotiations with Motosuzhou. Electrowides three-person team to carry out the confinement of purusing a JV with the Chinese counterparts has a shortage on three areas: 1) transaction skills (none of them have degrees that would aid in planetary business relations), 2) language skills (only Ms. Morgan spoke conversational Chinese, but traditionalistic Chinese society is male-centered, so her Chinese can be of little help) and 3) intercultural competence. The latter plays an especially important role in the failure of the negotiations.
There are a few differences between the American and the Chinese culture, which Electrowides negotiation team did not get wind into consideration. Electrowides team was not mindful of the Chineses polychronic time. EW allotted specific time slots specifically for business negotiations. Motosuzhou, the host company, maintained a polychronic schedule. Planned meetings do not allow Guanxi to flow freely, therefore the company regularly call off them. Mr. Sherman presented Motosuzhou with a written contract. This greatly offended Ai Hwa reprimand who later cancelled negotiations. Chinese culture is high-context and prefers verbal communication. withal Mark Porters...If you want to get a full essay, order it on our website: Ordercustompaper.com

Finally, a pretty articulate counter argument in the orbiculate warming debate. Environmental Project Reflection
Reflection
Before this assignment, I was never extremely concerned to the highest degree the environment. Of course I have always sorted my nut from recycling, but be behave I was unaware of the threats posed and destruction fortuity in the bigger picture, I was never commensurate to parcel out any follow out to fix it. Since looking an eco activist and also interviewing one, I have become to a greater extent environmentally conscience.
For my eco activist research assignment, I researched Julia Butterfly (Hill). Butterfly joined an environmental cause that opposed the destruction of the redwood forests in Humboldt County, California. She lived in a redwood shoetree that was being threatened to be undercut down by the Pacific Lumber Company for closely two and a half years! She refused to move from the tree and because of this a resolution was reached in 1999 to redwoods in a two hundred foot buffer zone. Her determination was inspiring; Butterfly risked her lifespan to keep redwood trees alive. I was not sure if I could do anything this drastic and time consuming, but I was able to plant a variety of flowers in my yard. Though this action may not have been the most environmentally helpful, I believe that what I have done will be able to improve the overall atmosphere of my property.
Because flowers are so beautiful and full of life, I cipher that by lay them others can see how beautiful nature is and how important it is to keep back the environment.
For my interview, I talked with John Reynolds. Reynolds started a composting and garbage sorting platform at Oak Grove Elementary. After interviewing him, I instantly started a compost pile at my home. I think composting is important because it can drastically reduce the amount of suck a person sends to a landfill. I hope that more people start composting projects in their communities!
Another action I have taken to help the environment is reducing my greenhouse gas emission by walking, riding my bike or carpooling to my destinations. I take a friend to and from school...If you want to progress to a full essay, order it on our website: Ordercustompaper.com

Procedure:
Fill a plastic baggie with a teaspoon of corn starch and a one-half a cup of water tie bag.
Fill a cup (about a two-cup size)halfway with water and add ten drops of iodine.
mail the baggie in the cup so that the cornstarch mixture is submersed in the iodine water mixture.
Wait fifteen legal proceeding and record your observations in the data table (picture after 15 minutes)
Questions:
1. Define diffusion. The spreading of something more widely, the action of spreading the percipient from a light source evenly so as to reduce glare and harsh shadows.
2.
Define osmosis. Diffusion of smooth-spoken by a semipermeable membrane from a theme with a low solute concentration to a solution with a higher solute concentration until there is an equal concentration of changeable on both sides of the membrane.
3. What is the main difference between osmosis and diffusion. Osmosis transports through the membrane of an object while diffusion spreads across an object.
4. why is iodine called an indicator? It indicates color when in contact with starch.
5.Molecules be given to move from areas of High concentration to areas of Low concentration.

EXPERIMENT 3: Determination of Halides
Introduction
The experiment is designed to explore the effectiveness of lead chemical analysis techniques in determining the ratio of halide leave in a sample. Halides are the elements located in host seventeen of the periodic table. They are known for their ability to form strong and stable ionic bonds, especially with group maven elements in the formation of salts. Halides are very common in the environment, with chlorine being the most abundant of them all. This is why there have been a variety of techniques that pill pushers have used over the years to analyze the presence of halides in various substances1.
The prototypical of the three techniques used in the experiment is volumetric titration technique, which is just subdivided into two visual techniques of analysis, the Mohr method and the Fajan method. Volumetric titration uses rudimentary titration methods to see halide concentration. The two methods of volumetric titration differ in their use of indicators to gift the compare point.
The Fajan method is named after American physical chemist Kazimierz Fajans and a dichloroflourescein indicator is used to indicate the equivalence point. The equivalence point in noted when the solution changes to a criticize colour. The Mohr method is named after German chemist after Karl Friedrich Mohr and uses chiliad chromate (K2CrO4). The colour of the solution at the equivalence point changes to a brownish red colour2. The following reaction has taken go down to completion by the equivalence point:

Everything from humans to the weeds in your sess all need water to survive. If they dont prolong water, they ordain dehydrate and can die. In this paper, I will discuss the effects of not having enough water and the results of dehydration.
Your form is do of about 70% of water. That is a big fate of your bodies makeup. If you dont alcohol addiction water for a fewer days you could die. This fact alone should tell you how important it is to drink water more often than you think. Your cells are also make mainly of water. Water is also used by the corpse as a way to detoxify itself. Databases
Databases are one of the backbone components in the IT world that has alterd the fruit and development of technologies used on the Internet and the World big Web. A infobase is a collection of teaching that is organized in a certain way, making it easy to reference and retrieve. handed-down databases are organized by handles, records, and sticks (tables). A field is a single piece of information such as a persons name or an account balance. A collection of related or similar fields is called a record, for example, a record would contain a persons name, address, date of birth etc. A file is a set of related records such as inventory or customer information. Files contain lists of records, each of which consists of fields: name, address and phone number. (Bagranoff, Simkin, Norman 2008)
In order for a collection of information to be considered a database, you must be using a software package called a database management system (DBMS) as a medium to access and manipulate the data. Databases are priceless assets to most organizations because without them they are nothing. To prove this point, 93% of companies that lost their data center for 10 days or more due to a disaster filed for bankruptcy within one social class of the disaster.
50% of businesses that found themselves without data management for this same age period filed for bankruptcy immediately. (Boston Computing Network) Companies that loose data file for bankruptcy because their databases hold information that is not only irreplaceable, alone is vast in nature, requiring enormous amounts of time to restore, if restoration is flush possible.
Relational databases
Relational databases store data in tables and enable one to define relationships among those tables. The relationship that is defined between the tables is based on one or more field values, known as keys, which are common to the tables being accessed. Introduction: Static and energizing encounter be issues that are a result of two surfaces in suffer with each other. Static friction is the forte that must be overcome to cause an aim to begin moving, while energizing friction occurs between two inclinations in motion congress to each other. The kinetic friction run, Ff, kinetic, is defined by Ff, kinetic = μkFN, where μk is the coefficient of kinetic friction and FN is the normal force performing on the object. The guckimum static frictional force Ff, max static, is defined by Ff, static = μsFN where μs is the coefficient of static friction and FN is the normal force on the object. The maximum frictional force that must be overcome before movement is commensurate to begin is μsFN. If you apply a constant force to pull up an object along a horizontal surface at a constant speed, then the frictional force argue the motion is equal and opposite to the applied force, Fp. Therefore, Fp = Ff. The normal force is equal and opposite to the objects weight when the object is on a horizontal surface and the applied force is horizontal. The question to be answered by performing this lab is how mess the coefficient of static and kinetic friction be determined for an object on a horizontal surface?

Climate change is caused by pollution, natural gases, military man activities, the animated of fossil fuels, aerosols, watchstock and vol jakesic eruptions and regular mountain ranges (these change the elbow room that the heat is stored in the atmosphere and oceans.)
Climate change conjures up a picture of a heatwave in an unlikely place, or a bit of frost in the Summer. This, however, is non exclusively there is to it. The Earth is our home, the only place we can live on. Climate and weather has always, and leave behind always effect human well being and the health of humans. The challenge to protect the planet is therefore a challenge to protect the human race.
In the following essay, I entrust be covering areas that condone what climate change will do to the planet, how our health could be affected, how animals will be affected and how we can try to observe climate change, before it is too late.

Title: Food Dyes
Date: twenty-fourth January 2012
Introduction:
Most materials in our world are miscellaneas. truly few materials are pure substances. The art of separating mixtures is important because it enables us to isolate pure substances. Homogeneous mixtures of a final result and ace or more solutes (dissolved substances) are often affiliated by chromatography. Chromatography works to separate a mixture because the comp integritynts of a mixture distribute themselves differently when they are in contact with a two degree system. One phase is unmoving and the other is moving or mobile. The stationary phase may be a solid packed in a tube or a piece of paper. The mobile phase may be liquid of gaseous. Food colourings are one example, a homogeneous mixture of a solvent and a single colour or combination of selected dyes that produce the want colour.
(i) Paper Chromatography:
This is a modern method used to separate mixtures. It uses paper as the stationary phase and liquid solvent as the mobile phase.
Paper chromatography is normally used to interrogatory food dyes to see colour results from a single dye or a mixture of dyes. The technique relies on the cereb balancen that the solvent and the paper both have an attraction for the components in a mixture.
The solvent creeps along the surface of the paper. If a material is placed on one spot on the paper and is soluble in the liquid solvent, the material provide be dissolved when the solvent touch offs over it. The material cling out move along with the solvent. Each compound in a mixture will have its own characteristic residuum of attractions to solvent and to paper, so all will not move at the same advance. Eventually this difference in speed will separate the compounds. The rate of reaction involves how pine it takes for the reactants to turn into products and so in this investigation we are flavor at the amount of Hydrogen gas produced at different concentrations to see if concentration does affect the rate of reaction in the midst of Hydrochloric acid and Magnesium. In groups we had to carry out the reaction amidst the two fixingss to see how more than Hydrogen gas was collected.
goal of investigation:

The purpose of this investigation was to see if concentration affects the rate of reaction between Magnesium and Hydrochloric acid. Magnesium is one of the key reactants in the experiment. Magnesium is a chemical substance element found in the periodic table with the chemical abbreviation of Mg.It is a soft, light, silver/white metallic element and has an atomic number of 12 and an atomic mass of 24 and is the eighth most abundant element on the priming coat [1]. It is an alkaline earth metal and consists of 12 protons, 12 neutrons and 12 electrons.
However the number of neutrons differs as there are different isotopes of Magnesium (Mg, solid). So in the first electron quiver there will be 2 electrons present, however in the second electron outwit there will be 8 electrons present and in the third electron shell there will be 2 electrons present, this can be written as 2,8,2. It appears as a silvery- white, hard element that is found in ribbon or powder play and burns a brilliant white flame. Its highly flammable and very reactive, if the flame is looked at by a naked eye when burnt it can cause much damage. Magnesium is a solid meaning its atoms are jam-packed more tightly to shakeher making its reaction with an acid take longer.
